Fritz von Allmen (1906 - 1980)

Fritz von Allmen served a shoemaker apprenticeship and worked in his father's business thereafter. Besides he also was an active ski instructor and ski racer.

In 1928 he began developping his own ski and après-ski-boots, which he sold from 1932 on under the brand "Kandahar", often as a traveling salesman in the whole of Switzerland.

In 1939 Fritz took over the family business in the Montana, where he continued to produce his famous shoes for 30 years, until he gradually moved the production to Thun.
